The Perfect Chicago Weekend

We went to Chicago for another friend's wedding and spent the day shopping downtown. At the end of the day we walked to Navy Pier. We walked around, got ice cream cones, talked, and then Kevin suggested we take a ride on the Ferris Wheel. So we got on and as we got near the top he started telling me how much he loves me, how happy I have made him, how he wants to take our relationship to the next step, etc... Then he got down on his knee and pulled the ring out of his pocket and asks me to marry him!

I was so surprised and shocked, I had no idea it was coming. Then I hugged and kissed him, crying and laughing at the same time. I was so excited I completely forgot to say "Yes". He asked again if I would be his wife and of course I said "YES", I repeated it over and over as we hugged, kissed, laughed, and cried! Then we walked to a bench on the pier and he told me all the stories about asking my parents for permission, ring shopping, etc. After we left the pier we went to dinner at a wonderful fondue restaurant in Lincoln Park. It was the most romantic setting. They brought us champange and gave us Kissing teddy bears to remember our wonderful day! It was a perfect day and weekend!
